Facilitative play can help your child expand their understanding and express themselves while they have fun with their toys. Carryover of these skills can help parents and caregivers feel empowered to try similar concepts during daily routines, such a bath time, at the dinner table and getting ready for bed.

Our son was eager to attend speech sessions with Melissa Eich, because she made it fun and relatable to his every-day interests. He flourished with his communication.
-Parent of an 8 year oldMelissa was a kind, gentle and patient speech therapist for my son. He was self-conscious about his need for speech therapy and Melissa was sensitive to that. Her communication with me was wonderful, helping me understand his speech needs and the progress he was making. I have since reached out a few times regarding follow-up concerns and she’s been a great resource.
-Parent of a 5th graderWhen we realized our 3-year-old twins needed help with their speech, we weren't sure where to begin. I reached out to Melissa for advice. Even though several miles between us prevented her from meeting our children, she was able to identify the issues they were having with their speech, explain the sort of help they needed, and name the different programs we could explore. She was such a great help in pointing us in the right direction, and talking with her is what finally motivated me to reach out to the different services in our area. She helped me realize that speech issues with young children are common and that we weren't facing a daunting road ahead. Years later, their speech is much improved and I'm grateful Melissa prompted us to act early.
-Parent of 3 year old twinsMelissa is just the best! Her kind and gentle nature and experience as a mother are just a bonus on top of her extensive knowledge as a speech therapist. She is passionate and creative and most importantly, her methods were fun and effective for my son! I can not recommend her highly enough!
